What's Included in Every Booking

You cover: fuel, tolls, traffic fines, and the refundable $400 security deposit at pickup.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)

LDW is not insurance — it's a contractual waiver that caps your liability if the vehicle is damaged.

• Refundable $400 security deposit at pickup
• If damage occurs, the deposit covers repairs first
• Above the deposit, your liability is capped: $1,500 standard, $2,500 for drivers under 25

We don't sell separate insurance policies. LDW is built into every booking.

Travel Radius

• Unlimited driving within 500km of Byron Bay
• For trips beyond, let us know in advance
• No daily km limit within the radius

Licence & Age Requirements

• Australian driver's licence, or
• International driver's licence + passport copy
• International Driving Permit required if your licence is not in English
• Minimum age 21
• Drivers under 25 pay the higher excess ($2,500 vs $1,500)

Pickup & Return

• Central Byron Bay pickup, confirmed via WhatsApp once your booking is in
• Standard hours: 9am to 6pm weekdays
• Weekends and public holidays on request
• Same-day bookings often possible

Cancellation & Changes

• Short-term rentals: 24 hours notice to cancel
• Subscriptions: 5 days notice to end or change
• Vehicle swaps available for subscription customers, subject to availability

Roadside Assistance

24/7 coverage with every booking — flat tyres, jump-starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, towing, and breakdowns. For major repairs, we organise a replacement when available.

Payment

• Credit or debit card accepted
• Booking total charged at confirmation
• $400 refundable security deposit charged at pickup
• Deposit returned after vehicle return and inspection

In Case of an Accident or Damage

• Call 000 if anyone is injured
• Call us immediately on 0438 238 550 — 24/7
• Take photos of the scene and all vehicles involved
• Exchange details with the other driver (name, licence, rego, insurance)
• Don't admit fault at the scene
• Your liability is capped at the LDW excess
